I will walk the audience through a Historical Overview journey of how Containers evolved from the perspective of an outsider from *BSD/FreeBSD community as this puts emphasis on the importance of OCI Containers support on FreeBSD.

Then I will walk the audience into a (brief) Technical Overview of what (OCI) Containers are and the current status of support on FreeBSD.

Then I will conclude with areas of help where, hopefully, interested audience can jump in and help getting this support even further completed.

In general I hope with this (short) talk to spread the word more and get more people interested in using, testing and developing OCI Containers on *BSD/FreeBSD.

I will present my ideas and plans for the Game of Trees Hub project. At present this project is still in early draft-state. The project was initially announced in June 2024 and managed to attract some interest. No publicly visible progress has been made since then. I will discuss what has been going on since June, present the envisioned design and operation of the service, explain when and how the wider *BSD community could get involved, and discuss open questions.
